Moore and Nox Mock Draft

Pick 1: Miami Dolphins
Larry Moore: Donte Rainey - QB
He makes smart decisions with the ball. Will deliver the ball to the target with nice accuracy. People always say you should not prioritize needs over quality. That is not an issue here, they get to have their cake and eat it too.

Jim Nox: Kevin Chism - SS
He is fundamentally a good kid. You rarely see him commit stupid penalties. Known among his teammates as a bit of a goofball, but never in a bad way. The kind that keeps spirits high even when a season goes south. Regarding speed, as some have knocked him on that: while he is not elite in that regard, he has enough to do his job. Reliably takes down ball carrier when he gets his hands on him. Fill the need with a quality player. Best case scenario here.

Pick 2: Tennessee Titans
Larry Moore: Guy Roller - DT
This kid breeds synergy, teams play better when he is on the field. Can maintain his leverage and shed blocks. Not incredibly strong, but enough power that he rarely ends up on his back. Quick enough to get to the Quarterback, and they need more pressure inside. Educated well. Shows good understanding of the game. Solid talent that fits their needs. Really that is all there is to it. Perfect situation. Take the money and run.

Jim Nox: Dominic Criswell - LB
Every team values leadership, someone to lead by example, this is the guy. Known for helping out teammates, if they hit a rough patch, whether it is on the field or in their personal lives. Strength is definitely one of his premier qualities. It will serve him well. So fast. You could drop him into coverage if you wanted. If you miss your block on this guy, he will be in the face of the QB before he has even finished dropping back. Might not be what fans want, but there is a reason people are getting paid to make these decisions. This is a rock solid pick, and he fits what they are looking for. Fans will come around quickly once they see him play.

Pick 3: Los Angeles Rams
Larry Moore: Dominic Criswell - LB
Teammates gravitate toward him, they follow his lead. Coaches love that about him. Here you have a guy, who really benefits the atmosphere in the building. Everyone wants to be around him. Great strength and physique. A kid who is faster than most linebackers. Really a hybrid kind of guy. Coming of the edge with that speed will give blockers fits. Fans might not be on board with what can be framed as a need pick. But trust me once they see this kid play, they will be more than happy.

Jim Nox: Kevin Castellanos - LB
He is driven by the love of the sport. Strength is definitely one of his premier qualities. It will serve him well. Not exactly a speed rusher, but has plenty of speed for the position. It is all about fit here. Is there a guy at a position of need, worthy of a pick this high? The answer, obviously, is 'heck yeah'.

Pick 4: Cleveland Browns
Larry Moore: Chadwick Renfro - QB
Has sufficient accuracy to place the ball where defenders cannot get to it. Has the arm strength to keep defenses on their toes. Fans, coaches, and teammates alike will be ecstatic to get him on the team. He fits what they need, he is such a great talent. Everything lines up.

Jim Nox: Virgil Cook - WR
Well liked in the locker room. Superb hands right there, can be counted on to make the play. More than enough speed to create separation. I am looking forward to watching him develop. Are there other guys worth picking here? Sure, but none of them fit this well with what they need, and he is a solid talent.

Pick 5: Minnesota Vikings
Larry Moore: Brian Packard - DT
Every team would benefit from his leadership. His college coaches talk highly of his work ethic. In addition to his own role, this kid doubles as glue. He makes everyone on the field play as a team. Will flatten smaller offensive linemen and go toe to toe with bigger ones. This kid is so fast. He might not go here, but this kind of speed will not stay long on the draft board. They need him now. Well yesterday actually. They will love him tomorrow. They will revere him by the end of his career.

Jim Nox: Guy Roller - DT
What you get with this kid, is a guy who understands that this is a team sport. Teams want players can hold the middle. He is strong enough to stay on his feet against grown men. Good speed for a Defensive Tackle. He should get sacks. And you know who likes sacks? Everyone! Well, except offenses. Makes smart decisions. Plug a hole in the roster with a great player. That is really what they need to do. This pick does it.

Pick 6: Cincinnati Bengals
Larry Moore: Percy Mcgill - G
This kid loves the weight room, and has developed nice strength for being this early in his career. He comes of the line with power and leverage on run plays. This is something that scouts notice. Plug a hole in the roster with a great player. That is really what they need to do. This pick does it.

Jim Nox: Percy Mcgill - G
Was among the stronger offensive linemen in college. Nice blocking skills on run plays. He will contribute to the running game. He can do what they want. He will deliver results early. He fits a need. End of story.

Pick 7: Tennessee Titans
Larry Moore: Kevin Chism - SS
His good natured behavior, even toward opponents have earned him some criticism, but also an awful lot of respect. He takes care of his teammates. Most everyone who ever played with him, counts him as their friend. Is versatile by virtue of his quickness. Can cover most offensive players. Is mobile enough that you can line him up in many different places. He has been trained well, and it shows in the way he tackles. great technique. Fans might not be on board with what can be framed as a need pick. But trust me once they see this kid play, they will be more than happy.

Jim Nox: Brad Dupont - TE
Not afraid to lead. He helps everyone get in the right position, making the team run as a well oiled machine. Just throw the ball in his direction, he will come down with it. He really is not given enough credit for his speed except among scouts. More people should listen to the scouts. He addresses a need for them.

Pick 8: Philadelphia Eagles
Larry Moore: Robert Nunez - SS
Raised to know the value of hard work. Just his speed alone almost guarantees that he will be picked early. For defensive backs, you simplu cannot be slow. This guy is not slow, far from it. Nothing to think about here. Pick up the kid, bring him into the building, put him om the field.

Jim Nox: Robert Nunez - SS
Known for showing up early and staying late. With all the stuff you will be asked to do from the Strong Safety position, you really want mobility on the player. This guy can get wherever you want him fast. Solid talent that fits their needs. Really that is all there is to it. Perfect situation. Take the money and run.

Pick 9: Denver Broncos
Larry Moore: Virgil Cook - WR
Known among his teammates as a bit of a goofball, but never in a bad way. The kind that keeps spirits high even when a season goes south. He picks the ball our of the air with incredible ease. He has more than enough speed to challenge defenders. A player that fits their needs. The promise of a future star. This will be great for the franchise.

Jim Nox: Brian Packard - DT
The kind of leadership he shows makes coaches salivate. Knows what it takes to achieve success at any level. In addition to his own role, this kid doubles as glue. He makes everyone on the field play as a team. He brings decent strength to the position. Can collapse the pocket against weaker offensive linemen. He closes so fast once he gets penetration. Offenses better make sure to keep tabs on him. Are there other guys worth picking here? Sure, but none of them fit this well with what they need, and he is a solid talent.

Pick 10: Buffalo Bills
Larry Moore: Brad Dupont - TE
His leadership is through the roof. He is on the frontline, always. The ultimate team player. Just throw the ball in his direction, he will come down with it. Straight line speed is really good for a Tight End. He definitely stands out in that regard. He fills a need for them. Great pick here.

Jim Nox: Russell Cook - WR
Due to his work ethic, this kid is very coachable. Known for helping out teammates, if they hit a rough patch, whether it is on the field or in their personal lives. When you watch him you rarely see him drop the ball. Pretty good straight line speed. Can run the deeper routes in the pros. Great balance and body control. A player that fits their needs. The promise of a future star. This will be great for the franchise.
